Suzuki Swift Sport
Quicker, stronger, and more powerful than its standard model sibling, the Suzuki Swift Sport is a hugely impressive car that has the credentials to match any other hot hatch currently available. Streetwise styling in the form of a racy body kit, twin exhausts, and 17-inch alloy wheels make an instant impression, which is echoed on the inside with supportive sport seats. The Suzuki Swift Sport can reach 62mph in just 8.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 121mph, but still manages to produce 44 MPG thanks to an ultra-efficient 1.6-litre engine. Along with superb acceleration in a straight line, the Swift Sport also delivers in the corners, with sharp sheering, stiff suspension, and very little body roll.
It’s the top-spec Swift and it shows, with an enhanced body kit, roof spoiler, 17” alloy wheels, carbon-effect rear diffuser and dual exit exhaust system. The cabin is accessed via keyless entry, revealing exclusive sports seats and a 7” touchscreen.
The Swift is lightweight and setup to handle. With 138bhp and 170 lb-ft of torque, the 1.4 Boosterjet engine packs a punch and you’ll enjoy squeezing out every pony through the 6-speed manual transmission. Slick doesn’t cut it.
Five doors, space for five passengers and a 264-litre boot make the Swift Sport as usable as a regular Swift - only this one is much faster. Have children? You’ll find ISOFIX points on both rear outermost seats for two child seats.
Living with it
Despite its killer performance, the Swift Sport returns up to 47.1mpg combined (WLTP) making it affordable to run. Standard kit includes sat nav, smartphone linkage, a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control and keyless entry and start.
